This has obviously been fixed by the latest patch.

@simvasion @crinrict It's fixed for me. I tried to light a firework both at the festival and at home. All good.

Fireworks still don't work in The Sims 4 after 2 years. When I try to light them, the Sims no longer reset, but instead wave to the sky as if they were unable to access the object. In the image you can see that there is enough space to carry out the action.
Will this bug one day be fixed?

Hello.
Looking at internal notes, if looks like the fix for this other bug:
https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/FIXED-Can-t-build-a-rocket/td-p/10541363
should also have fixed this fireworks bug.
That said, since this fireworks bug is still being seen by some players, there is probably another issue occurring which was not resolved by the first fix.
For anyone still seeing this issue, would you be willing to share affected (and unmodded) save files?
Instructions on how to share are here:

@SimsTime Would you mind sharing your save ? Was this at a festival ?
