The Sims 3 launcher won't run the game.

When I run the game through Origin, the launcher pops up, and when I click the play button, the following message appears:

"There is a problem connecting to the server. Please ensure your internet connection is active. If the problem persists try again later."

And as you can see, I have a perfectly functional internet connection, and I just can't find anyone with the same problem or a solution to this issue.

Make sure nothing is blocking the connection (firewall, anti virus, another program)
