Sims 3 License Limit Reached

Hi guys hope someone here can be more helpful than the people on the EA help chat.

So I bought a new laptop and tried to reinstall Sims 3, first it wouldn't accept my serial code but I eventually got a new serial code out of my "helper" but now I keep getting the error message "License limit reached" The person I talked to said they had extended the license but it did not work, I tried uninstalling and installing but no joy I keep getting the same message. Anyone have any ideas? It's driving me absolutely insane!

Try again with a new advisor.
