Installing problems!

So I am trying to install the Sims Pets off of Origin and I get as far as where it says "Select a volumne where The Sims 3 is already installed". Ive been trying for so long and everytime is says "Select a volumne where the Sims 3.app is already installed" and gives me the only option to go back. Why will it not accept my file for the sims 3!?
