Installing an Expansion Pack

I am trying to install the Sims 3 Expansion pack, Island Paradise. I have purchased the game, as well as downloaded it. When I go to install it though, it says I need to update my Sims 3 before installing. So I open up my game launcher and go to 'Game Updates'. There says there are NO updates and that I am up to date on my software. The current update I have is 15.0.135.019001. I have no idea what to do now considering the fact there are no updates. I really want to play my new game, but it just won't let me.
