Sims 4 new door locking update doesn't work

I recently updated the sims 4 and I was so excited because they had adding locking doors. However whenever I click on a door to lock it all it has is a icon of a door and three dots. When I click on this icon it just comes up with 4 other orange circle icons. I think the text has disappeared somehow. Anyone know why and how I can solve this?
