Okay, so I safe-copied the .tmp-file and changed the file from .tmp to .save and loaded Sims, and both worlds are now back.
I have no idea how, but now both the original and the new problem is gone. Both worlds are working and I can play them just fine.
Thanks for your help, I am sure something made it work along the way since I originally started this topic
