my sims 4 game keeps crashing

When trying to open my sims 4 game on my mac through origin it said initialization error at startup so i redownloaded origin and repaired the game and then it would still crash but it says it crashed unexpectedly. I have just installed university expansion pack but this was happening before i installed that. I think i saw somewhere that this happens due to my language being different as my origin was in Spanish but my actual game has aways been in english. i changed my origin back to english now but still happening. Please help.

This is a Mac specific problem. At the top of the forum they even have a notice in yellow saying:
Can’t connect to the The Sims 4 on Mac? Show less
We’re working on it. We’ll get you back in the game as soon as we can.
