Did you play with MC Command Center by any chance at the time when this glitch occurred?

It's a game issue.

Something similar happened to me when I was playing yesterday.

Misteriously two of my family's Sims just divorced and erased all relations with the previous wife or husband. Happened in both situations.
So for example I have a husband with your wife and two kids. The husband break the relationship with everyone in house including the kids and the wife marry again. The new husband turn the new father.

That sounds like overly zealous relationship culling.

You play rotationally ?

Maybe it is.

I play rotationally but they did this by their own.

It's funny but sadly break all the grace when the father or mother lost their relation with your kids.

They literally stop to be parents of them and become alone in the family's tree.

What you you mean by on their own ? Did you get a message that they broke up ?

Relationship culling deleted existing relationships although it isn't supposed to cut family relations. Only insignificant friend relations.

I didn't.

I was playing with others families and changed to this one who has the bug just to see how it going.
In the first look I saw a new man in the house and the things became very strange.
So I saw the wife married again and the old husband was still living in the house but with none family relations even with his kids.

He became the strange and the other one became the father. 

He don't even have friend relationship with them.

Could you post a picture of the family tree ? Best click on one of the kids.

Of course.

This first image is with the fake father.

And this one is a picture from the true father family's tree.

Even the basic relations just gone.
