you might need to put testingcheasts first. Is that on for you ?

If it still doesn't work, could you try switching the numbers ? Maybe I got that backwards (like pet first, then Sim)

I had testingcheats true and I tried swapping around the ID numbers.

I'm pretty sure that everything you said to do was correct. I saw other guides that said to do it the same way you listed it above.

I think it may be a lost cause until the bug gets fixed. Hopefully soon, if ever. Lol!

There's a mod called simsinfo.

Could you download that and then click on the pet with the Sim that doesn't get the option and choose SimsInfo --> This Sim and then check the relationship between the two.

This should tell you if they have the hidden bit or not.

I also noticed that neuter machine doesn't work anymore. If you try to neuter your pet, first pet goes in but then just stops the whole thing suddenly and pet will stay not neutered. And I can't courage my pet to breed either. Option is not even there.

I was able to find the hidden relationship between my sim and her pet with simsinfo.

Unfortunately, there is no '(RelationshipBit_DogOwned)' in the hidden relationship section.

I've tried to rearrange the relationship.add_bit  cheat in many ways, but I can never get their relationship to change.

I have no issues adding the bit to your Sim. Maybe it's a mod conflict ?

Can you try with just simsinfo and cheatfix to see if it works then ?

I removed every mod except for simsinfo and tmex-allcheats, but it still won't work for me.

and you're sure the all cheats mod is active ?
