Community Space Voting Error

Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.62.67.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All, including eco lifestyle
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to community space, click the board to vote for community space type
What happens when the bug occurs? Says "Can only vote in home neighbourhood" even though I'm in my home neighbourhood.
What do you expect to see? Should be able to select "vote for community space"
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I have tried this in all neighbourhoods, including the one my sims live in and it always gives me the error. I had custom content, but then disabled and I still get the error.

This is happening to me too. My sims are in thier home neighborhood of Oasis Springs and I put a community spaces lot there but when they try to vote, it says they have to be in thier home neighborhood but they already are. I have no CC in my game at all nor have I ever.

@wyhone1972 If its the big park lot good luck as it is a separate neighborhood. They need to make adjustments for the big park lot, that if the community lot is there it should be part of all neighborhoods close to the park in the base game neighborhoods.

@pouline94 Does it matter which community lot you put it in ? Is this only for not EGH ?

I doesn’t seem to matter. I’ve moved my family to 3 different towns and it does the same thing everywhere. 
move also tried different sized lots, but it still tells me I’m not In my home neighbour hood

I am having the same problem. How are you to use this item? Does this board have to be in each section of the neighborhood. Mine is in a Park area. Why give us the board to place in building mode for an area that it won't work !!  Looking at the new Expansion it seems you have to have a community space in each section of the neighborhood you are playing in. So you would have to remove one Lot in each section. In one area of Oasis Springs there are just two Lots. Not Enough Room !!!!!!!!! This is a mess EA. Please advise or fix this problem. In the UK I can get my money back if Expansion is not fit for purpose. I am on Windows 10 PC by the way

Even there! I moved my sims to the neighbourhood and waited until after the welcome wagon and it still showed the same error

To make sure there's no mods still active in your game,  try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

Done all that and the board still does not work and you cannot vote with the Mailbox except in new EP Town. You have to put a community lot in each area of the Town in all other Towns. Just not practical and not enough lots to do that.  It will not work in other neighborhoods before the new EP.

 I give in unless you have to rebuild each world from scratch or use a cheat. I will be asking for my money back because I am covered by UK software laws.
