Sims 3 wont launch from origin

@puzzlezaddict Here is my info thank you for helping!! ive been dealing with this for months on my pc. runs fine on my mac but i have a gaming pc and want to use it.

@BeekyD2001  It looks like you have the same DirectX 9 issue that a lot of other players do.  The fix is to manually install DX9, as described here:

After installing direct x I get that

@BeekyD2001  Did you successfully install DirectX 9?  If you're not sure, you can run the installer again, then restart your computer before trying to play.

The breakpoint error in your screenshot is from Origin, not Sims 3, and there have also been reports of Origin throwing a breakpoint error when it's still open while a computer is trying to restart.  So the error may not be relevant at all.  But it's still best practice to install resources like DX9 while nothing else is running, then restart before opening any programs.

@puzzlezaddict so it will launch sims 3 launcher when i dont have origin but says i need origin and then when i have origin the sims 3 launcher wont even open. please help
