I have a copy of Spore that I bought when the game first came out. I installed it on my son's MacBook Pro, which is running OS X 10.11, and went through all the updates, which took a while. Now when I launch it, it gets to the splash screen and shuts down.
I've looked on this forum and many of the responses deal with getting Spore from Origin.
How do I deal with this for the version I installed?
Or is there a way for me to use my Spore serial to get a copy of it on Origin?

He explains exactly, how to get a digital download and swaps it for the physical version
Since Spore is an older game, you cannot redeem code directly in Origin.

Therefore, it makes sense to contact the game advisor, he can do this manually
