Purchasing should/will be fine as long as the accounts are active , however if you do run into issues you can just post here for clarification on how to get it fixed again

My subscription has expired. I would buy pre-paid playing time, but due to the bad experience, I don't know what the best solution is. Buy it through Steam or in my SWTOR account? Thanks for the reply!

if you have concerns with steam just purchase via swtor.com , either will work
