unable to save games

Hi, I downloaded Sims 4.  I spent many hours playing and after saving the game went out.  When i go back in it is like I never played the before and I have to create new sims to get in.  My play is gone,, but the Sims I created are in my library.  How can I fix this?

Strange issue you're experiencing here. Sounds like as if you have to start all over again like it's your first time playing.

Do you use any mods at all?

@tldnsn  How many times did you save the game?  Does your computer run Windows or macOS?
