sims 3 humble bundle download

I bought sims 3 through the humble bundle offer. I installed it on my Mac along with the two other addons. The game launcher starts up and asks me if I want to update. I click yes it downloads half way and then I receive a message saying "you cannot apply this patch on this version of the application". any way to fix this?

Try downloading the patch manually here:

Make sure to use the mac patch.
