So I recently replaced my hard drive. I re-installed Origin and the sims 3 pets already appears in my games library. Keep in mind that I already have paid for it (I have an email confirmation to prove it), and that I had the base game to go along with that particular expansion. However, when I go to re-install it, it says "This product requires and installed copy of the Sims 3. Please install the Sims 3 before installing it". If for whatever reason I dont' have the base game, is there somewhere where I can re-download it, especially because I already payed for it?

  • How did you buy the base game (download on Origin or Steam or DVD or another legal source) ?
  • How did you buy the expansion (download on Origin or Steam or DVD or another legal source)?
  • What's your operating system ?
  • Did you install the games to their default locations ?
