The Sims 3 70s, 80s, 90s Stuff Pack

The Sims 3 base game worked perfect on my Windows 8 computer until I installed the 70s, 80s, 90s Stuff Pack. Now the game will open but wont load. Halfway through loading I get the message "Your computer has encountered a problem and needs to restart. Error kernel_data_inpage_error" and then my computer will restart. What is the problem? If I paid for this game, it should work!

Try uninstalling the game with a program like Ccleaner or Reevo uninstaller. Then install it again. This appears to be an issue with your computer.

I used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall the program. I then re-installed it. The part where it loads my families, the game stopped working. It says Windows will notify me if a solution is found and the game closed.

Try resttetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps/td-p/714/ You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.

Did you check your computer with cyri: http://systemrequirementslab.com/cyri to see if specs are ok ?
