I am a mac user and have tried everything(well it feels like it). I have tried:
Taking out electronic arts folder, starting game and then exiting.
Deleting the Dcbackup folder.
Uninstalling.
I have done everything but the uninstalling multiple times. I have pets, generations, seasons, and university. My mac can hold the game and has tons of extra space.... I am getting very mad and just wanna fix it. PLEASE HELP!!!
Also if it helps the seasons and university are discs.
Before I installed seasons and university my game would say exeption raised and if i click yes or no for debugging it it would exit the game. But when I installed seasons and university it now only say:
The sims 3 university life has closed unexpectedly

Here's a few trouble shooting steps: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/Links-to-Mac-help-threads-and-guides/m-p/749664#U749664
If those don't help, I would suggest posting in the mac forum at thesims3.com (make sure your language is set to US): http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/forums/show/205.page since macs are not well covered on the AnswerHQ.
Good Luck
