We got a new laptop with Windows 8. Sims 3 base game, pets, seasons and generations (all US versions) installed just fine. We just bought a new copy of World Adventures that happened to be UK version, it won't install because of different regions. I found the forum thread with instructions to change region in skuversion file, but it doesn't apply to windows 8. Can someone please give me instructions specific to Windows 8 to fix region compatbility problem?

How far do you get ? Do you not find the keys or the registry ?

 

Do you have the DVD or Disc version of the game ? 

 

Is your Windows 8 64 bit or 32 ?
