How to play downloaded sims 3 island paradise (Mac)

This is my first time using the download, I have installed it from the origins launcher, and it is shown under application. Yet when I click on it, it acts as though its not installed. Am I missing a step? Help please!

What is your base game version right now ?

Open the launcher and check the number in the lower left corner.
