I recently switched to Windows 10 after I had installed Sims 3 along with the Pets and supernatural expansion packs. When I decided to play again it wouldn't load. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it from Origin. Now t won't open and I keep getting Error code 0x80070422 and it says that Windows can't complete the requested changes because either it is disabled or it has no enabled devices associated with it. I have done nothing but switch to Windows 10. I would like to play it and now I'm getting frustrated. Please help!

@InfernalJackal Did you upgrade to win 10 or is Win 10 a clean install? Go to control panel - programs and features - turn windows features on or off - turn on .net framework 3.5. reboot computer - check game.

Do you have admin rights on your computer ?
Did you check if the firewall settings could be blocking Origin ?
Good Luck

So I do have admin rights on my computer and I checked the firewall settings and there's no issue. I also tried running it in compatibility mode and it still didn't work.

@InfernalJackal Did the game ever run? Please post the dxdiag for you computer - thank you
Do you have Origin installed? Windows 10 you MUST run the game under Origin. What is the version of your game?

@roberta591 The game ran on Windows 8 but I have never tried with Windows 10. I do have Origin installed and I even tried uninstalling Sims 3 and reinstalling from Origin itself. Same problem. I'm not sure which version but right now its basic Sims 3. Originally I had 2 expansion packs (I don't have the CD but I bought it 2 years ago). And the DxDiag is attached.
Also update on the windows features on or off. It's completely blank. So I'm googling that.

@InfernalJackal If you have multiple installs of TS3 there may be a problem in the registry. If you plan on re install TS3 you should uninstall TS3 - run a registry cleaner like ccleaner (there is a free version) - move or delete all left over files - THEN install TS3.
