Download Error 7049:400

Every time I try to download The Sims 3: University Life, I get this error:

HTTP Bad Request

Please check your internet connection. If the problem persists, wait and try again later because the servers may be temporarily unavailable. Error: 7049.400.

My internet connection is fine, and I've been getting this error since yesterday so I doubt the servers have been down for that long.

I have the latest version of Origin, which I uninstalled and reinstalled several times yesterday. My computer has all the of specifications for the game.

I don't know what else to do to get it to work!

Check other browsers to see if you still get the error...

Clear browsers history/cookies/cache...

Disable your antivirus/firewall to see if it's blocking it... if no problem then, you can add Origin/ports permissions through your firewall and/or antivirus...

Check your browsers addon's/extensions/plugin's for anything which may be blocking it...

I have the same problem, but not with sims. With BattleField 3. Don't know what to do.

o help you fix the Origin Error 7049:408 we would like you to follow the steps below:

1. Please open the Origin client.
2. Then select "Application Settings" from the menu bar on top.
3. Then scroll down on the "General Tab".
4. Under "Origin Beta Participation".
5. Check the box for "Update to the beta version if available".
6. Close down the Origin client.
7. Reopen the Origin client and the latest Beta Client will be downloaded.

Once these steps have been completed you should be able to download or patch your game without the interruption of Error 7049:408.

I tried both fixes you suggest and still get the error 7049:400 when i try to download any humblebundle game (dead space1, dead space 3, sims 3, Batlefield 3, Mirrors Edge, Burnout Paradise). Any other suggestions?

What's your OS ?

Did the new beta version actually download for you ?

I have been having the same issue. what worked for me was to "Run as Administrator". 

Just right click the Origin icon and select "Run as Administrator"
