Mac to PC translation errors messed with folder names and they are unopenable

★★★★★ Novice

I tried to copy over my Mac files to use on my PC (which other posts said would work,) and uhh, this happened. Screenshot 2024-03-08 173709.pngIs there some error with translating the code, or is my drive messed up, did it mess up during converting, or what happened? Can someone give me guidance on how to resolve this and get the files to work on my modern PC?

@eg_moneyy  That is oddly fascinating and makes me want to experiment more.  But you probably would rather not, so try zipping your folder (in macOS, right-click and select Compress) and uploading it to a free filesharing service, for example Google Drive.  Download it on your PC and unzip it there.

If that doesn't help, let me know what languages your macOS is using.  Your Windows install looks like English.
