Hello,
I just downloaded the Sims 3 starter pack. I read it works on mac devices when downloading which is why I downloaded it. I downloaded it through Origin. My mac is MacOS 10.14. However when I go to launch the game is just says unknown error occurred. can someone please help me.

@emmsumm77 First, please run the Super Patch (digital download edition) to manually patch your game to 1.67.

You'll then need to create an alias (icon) for Late Night in Applications, alongside the alias for the base game. Here's how:

Hi thanks for the help unfortunately it did not work.. my Mac is Mac Pro 2018, macOS Mojave, version 10.14.6

@emmsumm77 Okay, please do a clean uninstall of the entire game, including removing the hidden library files that would be left behind in a normal uninstall. Here's how to find them:

Install only the base game, no packs, and run the Super Patch again. Then try to launch the game, and let me know whether it works. If it doesn't, please list the full specs of your Mac, as described in the link in my previous post. It's not enough to say the general model number and OS; I need the rest of the info as well.
