sims 4 play button greyed out?

just purchased a new MacBook and am experiencing the same issue origin has warned me not to sign up as its not compatible with my Mac book but that can't be right can it?

Can you please post a screenshot of the error you're getting?  Hit command-shift-4 and drag your cursor over the screen; the pic will land on your desktop.  You can then attach it to a post.

It would also help to know your computer's specs.  Here's how to provide them:
