Plants Vs Zombies: Game of the Year on Steam not Opening

I have the "Plants Vs Zombies: Game of the Year" published by Electronic Arts on Steam and it is not opening.  I get the error "Failed reading file" when trying to load the game.  When contacting the support, they told me to download the EA app which I did, but "Plants Vs Zombies" is not associated with my EA account.  There is no "Plants Vs Zombies" without the "Game of the Year" on Steam. Thank you for help!
