After purchasing Cottage Living, I can't seem to make a sim without the game eventually crashing. I've done every method I possibly could to test my custom content and I've seem to have found some solutions but my Create A Sim still crashes after a while.

@nitroslayer8598 Does CAS crash if you have no mods or custom content present at all? If you haven't tested yet, please do so now.
If that doesn't or didn't help, please clear Origin's cache:
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
and repair the game: open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.

Has anyone found a fix. I have just bought Cottage Living and the game is unplayable. I am trying to set up a new household. Have cleared cache repaired game twice and made sure game is updated but it keeps crashing in cas. I have not managed to get into game play.

@scififgirl Please clear Origin's cache:
https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
and repair the game: open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.
If that doesn't help, move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. Don't add anything to it yet; just see whether you can get through CAS. You also don't need to spend much time testing, although if you want to try to make the new household you've wanted, there's a way to combine it with your existing content (saves and the rest) later.
If the game crashes again, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
