2 sims 4 applications
On my mac, there is 2 sims 4 applications. one is labeled universal and is 22.66 GB. the other is labeled intel and is 21.41 GB. I have a lot of the packs but I don’t understand why I have 2 games.

The Universal one provides native support for Apple Silicon equipped Macs as well as older Intel machines. It was in the April patch notes - https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/news/update-04-18-2023 The Universal version is the one you've been playing, you can tell by the date last accessed as it most recent and the files size is larger due to BG patch content added.
Does the game show twice in your Applications folder too?
