@AkumaSanji This is the same nonsense that popped up with BLM, I don't feel like going into another fourm war over it like last time, as its usually just a bunch of people spewing out the same thing that's like "you're wrong because you don't hAvE tHe FaCtS" and stuff like that.
Let's just cut to the chase... at this point they should honestly stop it with the badges, as it only ever triggers part of the community and just do a "just a friendly reminder to respect everyone" or something, because people throwing tantrums on the fourm isn't worth a new badge.
Second, just because you have the freedom of speech, doesn't mean you get to be rude, hurtful, or overall expect it to not get moderated. If calling someone a sunflower was an insult, and I said "you're a sunflower", I'm going to get moderated. The *moderator* themselves aren't defending the topic by removing, they're upholding the terms of service, that I'm sure we all skimmed.
This legit extends to poltics, I remember talking about the ship that Fuse came on, and it was a general question about what it meant as it was during the US election, that particular post was removed, not because it was a question, or me wondering if things were linked to real world events, but because it was about politics.
People really need to s t o p getting their underwear in a twist over every little thing. All lives matter. EA/Respawn is just reminding us about some lives that are still being pushed below the rest. There's nothing wrong with bring awareness.
Y'all just need to s t o p with the "this promotes hate", "this promotes violence", "I don't like a company that sides with terrorism", etc. You're looking at the smaller group of people who take their anger out of things. People in the BLM protests, did so peacefully, however a FEW decided not to be peaceful and there were even WHITES among them. Quit associating these few people with the group.
As per your picture they took down, the term of service states "no naming and shaming" and to use approprate language. Your picture clearly had curses/racisim/etc. in it and player's names. This would of been better to report them in-game for hateful/harmful speech, or to head to
https://help.ea.com/en/@EA_Mako is NOT promoting anything racist or hateful. They're doing their job which is keeping the fourms in line to the terms of service. If I said "AkumaSanji is hacking" and sent video/pictures on the fourms showing you cheating, its going to be removed as it has your name and is shaming you. This same concept was applied to your post.
TL;DR They're not protecting racist or hateful speech, they're upkeeping the TOS. Your opinion may be part of free speech but isn't excluded from moderation.
