What's wrong with matchmaking recently? As soon as I manage to win a game, my next game would automatically paired me up with new player (Account below level 30).
Is hard to play with those player as they have absolutely no idea what they doing. Even if you do communicate with them in friendly manner, most of them don't even try to reply back to you.
I thought it was my imagination, but nope. No matter if I win with 0 kill or 5-7 kill, the same thing repeat all over again.

the matchmaking almost ALWAYS but me with new players so.....
Respawn has ofc been very secretive how the matchmaking works so people will have a harder time to finding ways to abuse it but I think the matchmaking DOESNT sort people in different lobbies based on the skill. I rather think the matchmaking is trying to create lobbies with the same skill distribution of players. Seems to me that every lobby has the same "template" of players, like 3-4 Predator skilled, 10-15 diamonds skilled and so forth. I also think that this is based on your recent stats, not your overall. So even if you are a typical Diamond skilled player but have had several bad games with 0 kills, you will be seen as a bad player after a while etc. That explains that you might feel more unlucky with the matchmaking if you just won, which usually means a good game.
It also seems like they try to spread out the good players in into bad teams, i.e. if you have 4+ K/D the recent games, you have a higher chance of getting teamed with people with low K/D etc etc.
But thats just my theory based on my experience.

Maybe the matchmaking is using many variables. I base my theory on just one experiment where I (k/d about 2.5) and a friend (about 1 k/d) simply screenshotted 1) the drop trails that left the ship during the first half of the flight path (where presumably the most high skilled player in each lobby usually drop) and 2) our squads kills/dmg after every game. This we did for like 15 games or so and just compared them.
And based on the this experiment, it seemed like both my lobbies and his lobbies were very similar when it comes to number of Predator and diamond trails, regardless of our K/D, both during recent matches and overall.
But regarding random teammates, there was not a super obvious pattern but there was a tendency where I got a little "worse" (ie, new player or just bad players) randoms whereas he seemed to have a chance of getting high level, high dmg badge players.

The matchmaking puts you with people of similar skill..... Skill Based Match Making. So if you are with new players....

SkillBasedMatchmaking - that was a good one really :D...
Matchmaking in this game is just simply terrible, skill based LOL thats just on paper, mostly you get paired with people that cant grasp the basics of COOP/TeamPlay no matter how "teamy" you are, most people are just brainwashed by streamers YOLOing so they tend to do the same . And also no matter how good or bad you are what OP said its true, also playing ranked as silver 1 for example you get paired with people who are bronze 3 but never with golds or platinums :D :D yeah funny and amusing this matchmaking is, but what else to expect since majority of playerbase are children aged 12-17 playing on accounts with their parents credentials, with fake data and names and also mirrions of smurf accounts.
But there are 2%-5% off games you actually get a good team members. But that is way to small
And fyi nothing will be changed and improved ever which is just sad.
