problems with connection and others

 After this new patch, I can't get into game!  I get as far as"connecting to online server" then I watch helplessly as children play in front of Javelins that I should be flying!  =0/  Another problem I am having (besides the game freezes, dumping me out of game back to start, and so forth) is that the game won't close.  I have to use Task Manager to shut the game down after I shut it down in the settings file.

For the connection issue @rosscllns I would suggest taking a look at our Connection troubleshooting steps which you can find here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/

It'll take you a couple of minutes to do them all but please do take the time and do them all.

I would also suggest repairing the game, which you can do by right clicking on the game tile in your My Game Library and selecting repair. What this does is check your files and should it find any issue repair and fix them.
