Apex Legends Origin download

Why is it Apex Legends season 8 has me downloading 46GB and then 10GB afterwards on Origin? On steam it was only 7GB. Then whats the point in using Origin?

ive realized with this update origin is a garbage client. i cant even update apex on origin, just switch to steam fully and dont look back
