Blue Screens from playing BF4?

Hello,

I had this problem before, and I have bran new hardware and done hardware tests and all work fine.

First it was BF4 Stopped Working, and some BSOD and now I get a BSOD every time I load BF4 and play a few minutes.

I have tested all my hardware and even brought a new Windows and installed fresh from the start and still get this problem.

Any idea?

Drivers, firmware and updates, are they updated?

Soundcard, graphicscard, chipset, mouse, keyboard, networkcard, bios, Windows etc.

Everything is fully done.

This is a bran new harddrive, with all the latest firmware, drivers, audio, chipsets, LAN, BIOS, updates everything..

Everything works perfectly fine, without a single problem on my PC.

The only issue is BF4 and this is the only game that Blue Screens!

When Windows bluescreens it normally creates a logfile of the event with some information in it. It might also be mentioned in the Windows eventlog. The location of these depends on your os (which you havn't mentioned) but a quick search should tell you where to find it. Can you copy paste the information in here?

Also, does this happen if you do a clean boot before playing the game? (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135)

Sorry for jumping in this thread, but i have this same issue with BF4 AND NFS Rivals (Only these 2 games). Also pc rebooting, blue screening. And when checking the dumpfiles they look all the same. Don't know if this is the same for "Invalidmenphues"

Not much into to go on without more info but it's most likely a bad driver or directX problem of some sorts. I would try doing a clean graphics driver install and reinstall directX from the BF4 _installer directory.

I think I fixed mine....

I just managed to play a full round without a single BSOD or game crash.

Also do not worry for jumping in and replying you have a blue screen.  It must be something wrong with the game files causing the problem.

Here is what I did. 

I went to Battlefield 4>_Installer>Direct X>Redist> DXSetup (Run it and leave it)

Then I went to Battlefield 4>_Installer> VC>vc2012Update3> Redist> Then repaired both the files.

Then AMD 13.9 Drivers, which some reason have more driver content than the beta.  Once installed I rebooted, and then installed the Beta 13.11 Beta V9.4

I already had the latest chipset, graphics drivers, audio drivers, LAN drivers, Windows Updates so no need for me to do them but you should if you have not done them already.

I then booted to do a Windows Repair.  I cannot remember the function but you need to restart your PC and go into the Windows Repair section... I think it is F8 but I am really not sure as I forgot... I let that go through and let it repair any files it needed.

I then ran CCleaner and into registry and Scan> Fix... Scan> Fix... Scan> Fix.... I did it 3 times because some files did not work on the first two... Then reboot PC... Then I removed CCleaner from the machine.

Tested BF4 and I was able to play a game without a single problem.  I played an entire game without a blue screen, a BF4 stopped responding or a game close, so I think it is working fully now.

I will post back if I have not and it has crashed.

Since this problem doesn't occur much while playing BF4 (more for NFS Rivals) I checked the same things as you did "Invalidmenphues". And i've found that the VC2012 wasn't even installed for me!

Gonna install it and then post my results...
