hi i play sims every day without a problem. the only thing it crashes but thats not the point. this is...
can't play sims anymore: (
when i go on the launcher( which takes ages to show in the first place) i press play and nothing happens. i have tried EVERYTHING and i mean everything so a remedy that only you know may help me here. im on a window 7 laptop and im not sure thats important but just incase. last time i had a problem they solved it but this time i got denied so i used force and got in...don't ask how but it worked.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps/td-p/714/
You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.

ma fraid it didn't work. it won't let me play at all and when i tried that solution it came up in a pop up saying please turn the game off. this is hopeless utterly utterly hopeless

Don't know what cetra is but this sounds like a computer problem rather than Sims.
If it doesn't run at all, you should take it to a shop or something
