I started the game on my laptop, rather, my father's laptop (Macbook Pro), and it stated once I went to play my saved game that it cannot tell if the disk I own is a valid and real copy or not. Now, I bought this game from a retailer, and it is just 'the Sims 3' disk, no expansions added except store content. It would be helpful if I could gain some insight on what happened soon since I used this game to figure out if the new house we are moving to would be suitable for my family. Thank you before hand.
Also, yes I have ejected the disk and retried the game after inserting once more. Thank you.

Try removing all custom and store content and then check if it works.
If it does, put the store content back in groups until you get the error again.
Should you find what item is causing the error, please report back.
Good Luck

It worked once I took of the wishy washer item I had boughten in game.
After such, the game was a bit glitchy and lagged some, but I believe that is because of this computer.
Thank you for the help!
