stuck in build buy mode cant go back to live mode

When I go into Edit Town, it works. When I go into build/buy mode on a lot, it works. When I exit Build/Buy mode, it takes a really long time to get off. I typed all this and it still is not finished. It is similar to another problem I had, however, it isn't the same.

What's your operating system ?
Are you using cusom content in your game or do you download from the Exchange ?
