lost Sims 3 program.

I downloaded Sims 2 from Origin and played it last night. When I tried playing Sims 3 this morning, it said that she shortcut wasn't working, and recommended i delete it, so I did. After that, the shortcuts for EA Downloads Manager and Sims 3 Ambitions stopped working. I have the files for Sims 3, but most of them are empty. I tried putting the Sims3Launcher shortcut on my desktop, but it saysit can't find it. I have the Sims 3 Ambitions disc, and no way to play it. Help.

Does it still show as installed on the Origin client itself ? What happens if you start the game from there ?
