Hi,
I recently got a new Mac, and when I downloaded Origin and Sims3, I can get all the way to the point where I select my family, but when I try to load them, it tells me a serious error has occurred and that it is recommended that I restart the game. Their family portrait (at the point where you select them to play) does not appear, either. Is there any way for me to access them? I'd be so sad to lose them after playing for so long!
The game is all updated and patched, and I'm pretty sure it would function if I were to start a new game, but I want my family back, if possible.
Edited to add: I also have access to my old computer- could I replace a file on my new one with a file from my old one?

Does the game play if you start a new family? You can copy you save games and downloads over to the new computer.
