It says:
Purchasing and registering an official copy of The Sims 3 will entitle you to benefits including access to an entirely new game town called Riverview, 1000 SimPoints which can be redeemed for game objects in The Sims 3 Store, and access to The Sims 3 Exchange.
I bought this at walmart, and it worked fine before, I was able to place additional lots, etc, why is it saying this now and limiting what I can do? How can I fix this? And how can I get into live contact with someone from EA?

You need to contact Customer Support for this
They can be found here: https://help.ea.com/contact-us/ask
Choose a category, a game and a platform for the contact options to show up.
If live chat is gray, change your country to US and make sure you're on US Business hours. It might also gray because they're very busy. Try later.
