Objects locking up and disappearing

Okay, so the water slides and piano (grand piano) lock up on me after awhile telling me someone is currently using it and I can't touch it or delete it either.

My other issue is I took some umbrellas from my sims inventory to delete and buy new, placed them in my yard and they vanished. Can't find them anywhere for the life of me, I ignored it but my sims complain about dirty surroundings, and it's those blasted umbrellas.

Any suggestions??

To delete objects in use:

1. Open the cheat console with ctl-shift-c
2. type testingcheatsenabled true
3. Shift-Click on the object in question and choose object-delete
4. Open the cheat console with ctl-shift-c
5. type testingcheatsenabled false

As for the invisible umbrella, Try moving your family out and back in again (only idea I have but I don't think it works). Only thing that probably does work, is to bulldoze the entire lot and build something new. If you have a backup before you placed the umbrella, you can export your house from that game and then simply re-place. If it's a house you have in the library, simply re-place
