Sims4 download stuck at 0% Mac [ Edited ]

I purchased the Sims4 today in store. I have a MacBook, so I downloaded Origin and redeemed my purchase code for the game. The game won't download. My first attempt it got up to 5% after about 2 hours. I read tips online how to speed it up. So I canceled download and tried them. Mistake. Now every attempt to download doesn't get past 0%. It has been stuck at 0% for several hours. I have tried all of the tips I have found online and nothing works. This is extremely frustrating and time consuming. Please help!

Please run the Origin reset tool. Before trying again to download please enable safe mode downloading in Origin preferences.
