Need to sign into Origin and be online? [ Edited ]

I got PvZ GotY PC (Origin On the House) and was wondering if I needed to have an Internet connection in order to play the game after installing it? When I launch PvZ it also launches Origin first and I have to sign in.

I am not sure if I can sign into Origin if I don't have an Internet connection. I know I can go offline after signing into Origin. Thanks.

Hey, you need first to sign in into Origin. Then you can go offline only.

Do I need an existing Internet connection first in order to sign onto Origin? Or can I sign into the client offline.

Like in a few weeks I will be going on a rode trip in an RV. I will have my laptop with me. So am I able to sign onto Origin without an Internet connection?
