@BondyNathan  did you ever actually try and clean boot your pc with the following steps: How to clean or safe boot your PC or Mac ?   It has worked for most people online and fixed it for me, it doesn't delete your stuff or anything and fixed it for me is >20mins

Hey guys, I just solved this on PC for myself after looking it up here

Mine issue was that application telemetry and WWAHost was blocked by my firewall

I'd disable your firewall and Windows Defender /Antivirus and load up Madden again 

Then reverse engineer to see what the above IS blocking and if it is valid
