Black screen during play bejeweled classic

When playing bejeweled classic the screen randomly turns black and have to reset. This started after iPhone update 17.1.1. Can’t get it to play right. Any suggestions?

I have version 3.3.3 with 17.1.2 and it still randomly goes to black screen during play of Zen. On both iPhone and iPad. Have tried the troubleshooting you give with zero luck. Don’t want to remove and re install because of loosing the levels I have worked a long time to gain.
