In which world does a lvl10 HQ with lvl 10 troops be an equal to a lvl9 HQ with lvl 8/9 troops? Fix your matchmaking logic based on the sum of the levels of the troops in play accordingly.

Unit levels alone is not a meaningful metric for matchmaking. You also need to take into account how well or how bad somebody plays.

@Mister_Crac Yeah but still you cannot get into a duel with troops that are low level and the opponent is maxed out on all. In such cases I’d say award the match as a higher unit player and no loss, otherwise it is simply frustrating and no reason to come back to play.

Well, there are challenge matches. But the game does not have a proper metric on how to decide whether it should be a challenge battle or not. I've gotten challenge battles where it was easy for me to win, and I had normal battles where I felt no matter what I did, I could never win because the other player was just very much better.
