Hi there,

My Origin, on the website and the client, is not showing notifications or showing that I am online - it also shows i am not online for others. However, in the client, it shows online content, but doesnt connect me to the friends stuff, i get the message "We can't connect you to your friends list or chat right now. Hang tight, we'll get you chatting with friends as soon as possible." and have had it for the past day or so. My friend unadded and added me, and i cant see the notification.

I have tried the cache clear, virus and firewall fixes, I have tried logging in with and without beta, i cant access the router because the service provider would charge me for if i mess it up and i dont want to touch it - I can play SWBFII online, but not with friends, i dont know what to do and i need help

Thanks!

Sorry to hear that you are having issues @AustenC02

The best thing to do is to take a couple of minutes and try the following steps:

  • Firewalls and Internet Security Software: Make sure that you’ve added the Origin client as an exception to any Firewalls or other Internet Security Software, like Ad-Block, you may have running so that your connection to our servers isn’t blocked.
  • Your software may even have some Internet ports blocked. If so, the following are used by the Origin client and must be open for a smooth connection:
    • TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 3216; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900
    • UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 2990
