A prior version of Origin had an important feature, something along the lines of "close origin after launching a game" that allowed for better compatibility with Steam Link. Previously, it would work like any other game on the service, but without the option now key Steam Link features like Steam Controller remappings, resolution scaling, and the like are disabled, making playing games on the Steam Link a miserable experience.
I want to play Anthem. on my PC in front of my TV. Since Steam Link is no longer an option, I'll be buying it on my PS4. For me, that means having a much worse technical experience, which I could almost understand, if Origin had a reason to be doing that. But there's no good reason to do that. The only thing removing this feature has meant is that EA has to pay the console licensing fee and I have no reason to keep Origin installed on my computer. It's completely asinine.
This is only hurting both of us. Please restore the feature as soon as possible.
