After giving The Sims 4 full disk access it seems that my game gets verified then it says it is downloading an update after a few minutes I get this alert saying the download has been paused. I have attached the alert I am getting.

@SurfRGeek

Log out of Origin, restart your Mac and relaunch Origin.

@avaka01

Did you run the Origin reset tool? https://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin-Mac-Client-Technical/Clearing-Origin-cache-on-Mac-the-correct-way/m...

@SurfRGeek

You only need to run it once to clear out the files.

Manually uninstall Origin and reinstall it, make sure you get rid of all the files https://bluebellflora.com/how-to-uninstall-origin-on-a-mac/

I have noticed one thing when removing Origin manually. When I go to \Library\LaunchDaemons there is no file to remove and when I ran Origin from Terminal I was getting an error that said something along the lines of can't find launchdaemon switching to launch agent. Could that be something I need to look further at?

So currently Origin loads, I enter my username and password it comes up and says The Sims 4 has an update I click on update and it goes to verifying files, it seems to be doing something then all a sudden it comes up with a window that says Oops... Windows blocked our attempt to download game content, etc. I have attached a screenshot below. Not sure why I would be getting this error on a Mac unless because this is an Intel Mac it assumes I have the windows client.

@SurfRGeek

It's a generic message but EA didn't bother changing it for macOS, it's not looking for anything Windows related.

Does Origin have Full Disk Access in System Settings/Preferences? Does the game have Files & Folders access?

Could you copy/paste the launchdaemon error from Terminal? I have a vague memory that this is normal though, I've seen it in Console when opening Origin.
