Sims 4 won't update

I would like to play my Sims 4 game but the recent update is just simply signing me out of origin and refusing to update my game. Because it won't update and the update is mandatory I can now no longer play my game. How do I rectify this?

Hey @JuriMarq, can you ensure that you are running Origin as administrator and that your firewall and anti-virus are not blocking Origin and that you also have the ports for Origin open.

The ports to open are:

• TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 3216; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900
• UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 29900

You can also try turning off the routers firewall to see if it helps.

None of the things you listed work.  I did the update and now can't get the game launch.  It opens and automatically closes.  Pretty sad that we spend the money we do on these games and can't play them when we want to.
